Clean India Yatra
Date : October 26, 2011 / Time : 11 a.m.
George Kulangara president of World Malayalee Council had initiated an all India Yatra from Kashmir to Kanyakumari to promote awareness on environmental matters and influence opinion amongst Policy makers. He was accompanied by school children who got a firsthand experience of India. After they left Ahmedabad, WMC Mumbai took over the event.

Their landing in Mumbai was on the auspicious Diwali day. Inspite of a busy day, our team ensured that the yatris had good stay in Mumbai. The guests were taken around for a city tour. An event was arranged at the Poinsur Gymkhana, Kandivli (W) which my presided by the local MLA Shri Gopal Shetty and other guests. Members of Charkop Malayalee Samajam also participated in the event.
